Vegetarian Appetizers - Masala Gungri

Cooking Time   10 min + Soaking time  
 
Ingredients   1 cup wheat grains, 1 tsp red chilli powder, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, 1 lemon juice, 1 green chilli slatted, 4-5 curry leaves, 1 tbsp oil, salt to taste.

Procedure   Wash and soak wheat grains for 2 hours pressure cook the wheat grains, approx 5-6 whistles. Grains should be well cooked. Drain the excess water from the cooked grains. Heat oil and add green chilli and curry leaves. Add the wheat grains. Add remaining masalas. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes. Sprinkle lemon juice over it and mix it well. Serve hot with chips or crackers.
